Why can't I see my Facebook news feed in Scruddle?

With the exception of a few larger companies, Facebook does not allow for 3rd party clients like Scruddle to display your entire news feed, even though you would like us to.

Scruddle can, however, display status updates and pictures that you post. You can also see posts that your friends make, only if they have also signed up for Scruddle and added their Facebook profile.

Remember, you can also share news and other social media posts to your Facebook profile from Scruddle.

Why can't I share to Instagram?
Scruddle, like other 3rd party Instagram clients, are unable to share directly to Instagram, simply because Instagram does not provide a mechanism to do so.
How do I add an Instagram profile?

Due to Instagram's policy restrictions, we need to create a way for Scruddle to communicate with your Instagram account. This process is fairly technical, so take your time and read the Instagram documentation!

  1. Go to the Instagram developer site
  2. Find the Register Your Application button, and go there
  3. Click Register a New Client
  4. Provide the client name and description. The following fields, however, are critical:
    • Website URL: https://scruddle.com
    • Redirect URI: https://scruddle.com/Profiles/OAuthInstagram
  5. Once you save the client, you will see the Client ID and Client Secret. These will be used in the OAuth Client ID and OAuth Client Secret fields when setting up the Instagram profile in Scruddle.

How do I unsubscribe from a news feed?
Unsubscribing is just as easy. In the Manage Profiles page, under News Subscriptions, you'll see text similar to "Subscribed to 5 news feeds", which provides a link to the Edit News Subscriptions page. You can also navigate directly to that page at scruddle.com/Profiles/EditNewsSubscriptions. Once there, simply click the orange "X" next to each news feed, or the red "X" next to each news publisher, to unsubscribe from that feed or publisher, respectively.

Organize

What is a funnel?
Funnels allow you to organize how you view the information from your profiles. A profile funnel is a collection of your profiles grouped together and shown in the Scruddle message inbox together. A contact funnel is a collection of your contacts - people you follow on your social media sites - that are displayed together in the Scruddle message inbox.
